Gwinnett Breast Center Receives National Accreditation

Lawrenceville, GA—Gwinnett Breast Center, an affiliate of Gwinnett Medical Center with locations in Lawrenceville, Duluth and Hamilton Mill, has been granted a full, three-year accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC)—a program administered by the American College of Surgeons.

The process involves rigorous performance evaluations and accreditation and is only given to those centers committed to providing the highest level of quality breast care. Centers must demonstrate compliance with NAPBC standards established for treating women diagnosed with a wide range of breast diseases. These standards demand proficiency in the areas of center leadership, clinical management, research, community outreach, professional education and quality improvement.
